The easiest way to travel around Jordan during your stay will be by rental car. Not only driving around the country is easy, but you will be freer and be able to move as you wish. However if you prefer traveling by taxis and buses here are some information for you.
Note that if you choose to book a taxi, you can let us know in the booking form or by message and we will organize it for you.
• JETT Bus
Jett has opened a line to come to Wadi Rum for 20 JOD for one way and 30 JOD for 2 ways.
It leaves Amman at 7/7:30 and arrives at Wadi Rum visitor Center at 12:30/1pm. Your guide will come to pick you up. And it leaves Wadi Rum at 5pm. This bus usually runs everyday.
• By Taxi
If you need to be more flexible, we can book you a taxi that will come to you for 110/120 JOD. We can try to get the best price when time comes. This is for one way.
Before reaching Wadi Rum Village, you will have to stop at the Wadi Rum Visitor Center where you will have some entrance fees to pay. You will be directed to the reception, where 7JD fees per person will be required. If you have your Jordan Pass, you can show it to the police and then drive in the direction of our house, where we will be waiting for you.
When you will be done with the Visiter Center you can start driving in the direction of our house. This is where we will be waiting for you, we will share some tea before you go on tour. 🙂
If you have big luggages that you wish to take with you to the camp for the night, you can leave them to us while you go to the desert, and we will bring them for you.
Wadi Rum’s temperatures throughout the year is relatively good. Here are some information about each seasons :
Spring is one of the best season here in Wadi Rum as flowers start growing, as well as the grass. The desert looks really beautiful, this is one of the highest season with autumn, as temperatures are comfortable.

As read above, the weather is quite different for each season, therefore you should be ready for any kind of situation. We recommend you have with you the following :
✧ Hat / Cap / Keffiyeh : Always cover your head with one of these, the sun can hit pretty hard and it is better to protect yourself from it.
✧ Sunglasses & Solar cream : A pair of sunglasses is always useful, and solar cream on sunny days.It will protect yourself and prevent sunburns.
✧ Backpack : All of it in a small bag you can carry with you while on tour.
✧ Closed shoes (summer) : in the summer you will be more tempter by walking with open shoes. However, we recommend you bring closed shoes as the sand can get pretty hot.
For winter time it is slightly different. The weather during the day can be quite confortable. Nevertheless, winter is still winter, so we recommend you take the following, whether you are sensitive to the cold or not :
✧ Warm clothes : Sweaters, big socks, scarfs, gloves, beanie, fleece jacket… Anything you could need to keep you warm.
✧ Hot Water Bottle : The camp is furnished in blankets, everything for you to spend a good night. However if you have one at home, even a small one, then take it you might never know the temperatures can change from one night to another. And before going to your tent, you can ask our team to heat you some water.
If you decide to experience sleeping under the stars, then the following could be useful :
✧ Flashlight : or a headlamp will help you in the night.
✧ External battery : to charge your phone or devices.

Before coming to Wadi Rum know that certain kind of shops can’t be found. If you need specific items and products, the closer place to buy them will be Aqaba.
The shops you can find in the village will be for food and souvenirs only.
Also, before leaving Wadi Rum, if you wish to take away some food, a few restaurants can be found. You can ask your guide to drive you there before heading south or north.
Last but not least, no ATMs are based in the village. We have one at the visitor center, but it doesn’t always work. Therefor, we recommend arriving with the amount. As they are more interesting atm in Aqaba, Amman or even Petra.
At the moment payments are accepted in cash, or by western union if you have no other possibilities.
The following currencies are accepted : JOD.
Also, note that we do not have any ATM in Wadi Rum, nor any credit card machines.
No, our prices do not include the tip for the guide. We pay our guides well, at a good and fair price. However, tips aren’t included.
So if you were happy and wish to thank your guide by tipping him you are more than welcome to do so.
Our guides are hard workers, who take good care of our guests. They work almost everyday.. if not everyday, to help their families, and build their lives.
Once you confirm your reservation with us, we will send you our meeting point, which will be our home.
This is where you will be able to park and leave it during your stay.
Since we are both from France, we obviously speak French. We also speak English.
And since we have origins from Poland, we speak a bit of Polish too. However we do not write and read it well.

Wadi Rum is one of the main places to visit in Jordan. If your trip allows you to, and if you have the time, spending 2 days in the desert, would be nice. As, we could organize you a program where you could see a bit of everything. You would have the time to go deeper in the desert where less people go to.
And if really you have the time to stay longer, then 3 days would be recommended, as you could have the time to go to many places far from the touristic places, and see what Wadi Rum is really about. We can organize you a very nice and fun trip, where we can mix many activities, whether it is a jeep tour or hiking tour, a camel ride.
