Where to sleep in the Wadi Rum desert?

Visiting Wadi Rum once in Jordan is inevitable, being one of the most spectacular places in the country, not visiting it would be regrettable. When you book your stay in the desert, you will have 2 possible choices, you can stay in our bedouin camp or go on an adventure and sleep under the stars; depending on your wishes and desires we will adapt to you.

If you decide to sleep at our Bedouin camp, after sunset the guide will take you to the camp.

Located in the middle of the protected area of Wadi Rum desert, our camp is far from the crossing roads and other camps; isolated in a place preserved from all hustle and bustle, you will appreciate the silence and fullness of the place, enough to immerse yourself in the rejuvenating atmosphere of the desert, all in a human-sized camp, very respectful of preserving the simplicity of Bedouin life.

The camp consists of a tent for dinner, very friendly to feel at home, installed around the fire you will enjoy a good sage tea before tasting delicious typical dishes such as the Zarb meal stewed for 2h30 under the sand, or also the famous Magloubeh concocted with love by our chef.

For the night, we have 15 private tents including 6 for 2 to 3 people and 4 family tents to sleep up to 6 people, each of them has good blankets to face the sometimes cold nights of winter.

Finally, we have a bathroom with toilet and shower area, thanks to solar energy we are able to offer you hot water, very appreciable in winter after a good day of walking or safari in the Desert!

And for the most adventurous who want to sleep under the stars, after the last site, before sunset you will go to a cave as the Bedouins say here, let’s say a small protected setting where you will feel safe.

On site, you will have the opportunity to walk in the surroundings while waiting for sunset. Meanwhile, the guide will start preparing dinner over a wood fire and will install the bivouac for the night.

It is therefore around the fire, in the magic of the desert that you can enjoy your meal accompanied by the famous bedouin whisky, then the show of the shooting stars can begin if you have the opportunity to come in August it is a real festival, our guide will count you the time of this unforgettable night of funny stories and will also transmit you a little of its culture!

For the night we provide mattresses with blankets, as well as sleeping bags. For the summer we have a very nice tent that is made by mosquito net, but which will allow you to admire the stars or the moon safely.
