The Sand Dune

Discover one of the emblematic dunes of Wadi Rum overlooking the valley. This site being one of the essential sites, it is included in our classic jeep excursions.

Not only is this dune impressive for its fine red sand, but also for its magnificent view of the valley.

Two routes are possible to reach the summit, the sand side and the rock side. The more you climb, the more the view will open to you.

Once at the top you will witness a 360° panorama of the splendour of Wadi Rum.

The Sand Dune is located in the protected area of Wadi Rum

It is a unique desert of rock formations created by millennia of climatic and geological variations, but also archaeological sites that have been preserved for more than thousands of years.

Wadi Rum Desert has an exceptional universal value from an archaeological point of view, and natural in terms of geological aesthetics, and representation of fauna and flora.
